As the U.S. stock market plunges lower, following its negative January Barometer reading, it is important for traders to take a deep breath, keep the emotions out of the equation and stick to the trading plan.

These are emotion filled markets, with some panic long liquidation. If needed, get up and walk away from the computer, walk around the block. Clear your head.
