Ground Hog Day

The dip-buyers stepped in for a third straight day and closed us in the green. Apple really picked up the slack today. Its amazing to watch a stock with a huge market cap shoot straight up. Is this some form of shorts capitulating? The market continues to hold up well. Same patterns of small ranges and buying early weakness continue to repeat. We are still stretched and just need a catalyst to get some serious selling.

Key Earnings Coming

The bears gave up at the end of the day and we rallied into the close with SMH leading. While we are due some downside, the buyers are trained to buy any dip. We also have some big earnings tomorrow after close when American Express, Google, IBM, Intel, Intuitive Surgical and Microsoft all are scheduled to report. With the looming option expiration and big earnings, the bulls may just keep pushing for another day or two.
