Trading Software

Hello All,

I am a very beginner in trading. I want to subscribe to Trading Software, but I don't know which one. What do you recommend? Thanks.

What markets do you want to trade? If you're only looking to trade US Stocks, I recommend ThinkorSwim if you want to trade options, OptionsXpress is a good platform.

I would recommend Tradestation as a good place for a beginner who wants to learn to trade using technical indicators. Tradestation offers data, canned indicators, a programming language to write your own indicators, and a brokerage for executing your stock or futures trades. Carefully read their website to see if it is for you.

I'm not a Tradestation customer, though. As a professional trader I use eSignal data and automated trading through Interactive Brokers. Interactive Brokers has cheaper commissions but programming indicators and using their API (application programming interface) has a much steeper learning curve.
