Free Gifts Form Phone No. Format

When registering and selecting the free gifts on offer the input validation prohibited me from entering a UK phone no. Is there a particular format I need to use?

Format will accept numbers without special characters. Since we request and store your country, we can determine country code, so you should only have to type in your phone number: Example: 7904414747
