Forexpros – European stocks were up after the closing bell on Wednesday.

At the close of European trade, Germany’s DAX rose 4.98%, London’s FTSE 100 gained 3.16%, France’s CAC 40 climbed 4.22% and the EURO STOXX 50 was up 4.31%.

Earlier in the day, official data showed that non-farm employment change in the U.S. rose more-than-expected to a seasonally adjusted 206K last month, from 130K in the preceding month whose figure was revised up from 110K.

Analysts had expected U.S. non-farm employment change to rise 130K last month.

Meanwhile, on Wall Street, equity markets were up after the open. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 3.65%; the S&P 500 index gained 3.49%, while the Nasdaq 100 index climbed 3.34%.
