The ECB announced that participation in this LTRO was EUR529 billion or EUR40 billion more than the last offering. As markets awaited the news, equity investors pushed up the European bourses in anticipation. Earlier in the session, the German DAX was trading higher by nearly 69 points, the French FRA40 was higher by 24 points and the London FTSE was up by almost 8 points.
