It is actually true, trading cannot be taught. Granted, this might sound rather contrarian at first glance, yet it is the deepest truth you can receive to empower your trading.
Let me explain: Trading like all other life skills are in essence a reflection of the beliefs you have in yourself. I can not make you a good trader, only you can do that.
In that sense trading is purely internally driven and not the result of what somebody else is teaching you.
Your entire reality is shaped by your beliefs about the world and of yourself.
If you believe that you have certain limitations which are stopping you from becoming the best trader you are capable of becoming, this belief will come true for you in your reality. It cannot be any other way, simply because this is how the universe is designed to operate.
Your trading system is but a tiny part of your trading success.
It provides you with a set of rules you should learn and then follow, if you are comfortable with the rules, and the rest is simply your psychological trading capital that either aids your trading success or hinders your development of trading mastery.
Granted, success usually will not appear over night, it takes to evolve and mature, however, if you follow your chosen trading system and know that it has the capacity to return profits, say from back testing the system, or from the experiences of other traders who use the same or a similar system, you will succeed sooner, rather than later.
Let us just remind ourselves that a trading system simply allows you to catch random moves, by providing you with a usable template that allows you to catch market moves thus taking money off the table on a regular basis.That is all there is to it. It is the nuts and bolts of any trading system that works.
The joker in the pack is you.
Or should I say, your belief system. We might also call it your trading psychology, or your trading edge.
It is your belief system, or your trading psychology that needs time spending on because it really is your movaluable trading edge by far: Your belief system needs careful examination of its usefulness for your career, namely making regular money from trading. You also need to spend time honing your knowledge on how the universe works. When you understand how the universe works you will also receive invaluable clues about how you operate in this universe which you can use to increase your confidence in yourself and this in turn will fuel your trading success.
A good trading coach can help you with this: They can assist you in examining your belief system and they can imprint you with the energetic blueprint of success creating a reference point in your energy matrix the brain can be trained to recognise and act upon. Ultimately, trading success is an energy frequency. It is not a strict set of rules, it actually requires very little from you.
Successful trading requires the willingness to learn about yourself, and the willingness to try out new beliefs about yourself.
Nothing is outside of you. You have inside you the imprint of everything you need in this life to fulfil your potential. Your potential is simply becoming the best version of yourself you are capable of becoming. The wisdom traditions have taught this simple, yet hugely profound piece of wisdom for thousands of years. Science recognises this as truth and talks about the universe being a holographic expression of itself.
All you need to do is to tune into what is already there and provide the right conditions to let what is already there grow. The chick becomes a fully grown chicken once it breaks the shell of the egg it has incubated in. Breaking through the protective barrier of its shell the chicken turns into a bigger and, if you like, an even better version of itself. This is how the universe works. It is in eternal expansion and so are you. Learn, grow and flow with the eternal flow. You cannot get anything out there, you cannot acquire trading success outside of you, but you can create the right conditions within you to allow trading success to emerge.
There really isn’t anything else to it.
