Today is my birthday and the market doesn’t even care. If it actually cared a lick, it would have given me a gift, but it hasn’t. My trades are flat and it looks like it will be another ho-hum day. Given my hurt feelings and given the market won’t likely change its mind about being nice, I am going to make this short.

  • Last week,Ireland’s debt office sold new 10-year bonds through a group of banks at the lowest cost of borrowing for more than 13 years.
  • The International Monetary Fund raised its forecast for global growth this year as expansions in the U.S. and U.K. accelerate.
  • Loans to businesses have risen to a record high and bank executives say they are increasingly optimistic about the U.S. economy. Increasing demand for bank loans often is a prelude to higher economic growth.

Actually, now that I think about it, the market is actually being quite nice today. On my birthday, it is giving me the gift of opportunity. How sweet it is …

Everyone, have a good day.
