Recently, on several occasions, traders and investors have been shown how certain information may be coordinated to provide insight and perhaps a hint of event predictions.  Through a number of different short articles in Traders Planet we have brought attention to the types of information experienced traders use as there most important tools of the trade.  This is no way to understates the importance of experience in capital markets, a strong and proven trading strategy, and perhaps the most pertinent is the ability to adjust to the changing environment in our more agile market arena.  From consistent conversations with traders and active investors, we aggregate some useful tools and objective views on the changing markets.

Most, if not all, capital market participants rely upon a number of various tools.  No matter the trading instrument, the trader always relies on the right information source for clarity during the trading day.  For the traders that are engaged with professional trading environments and information is provided to the “desk” on a consistent basis, content may easily be acquired.  Given the fact that most domestic and international active investors and traders do not have the capability nor the capacity to obtain pertinent information on their own, information gatherers and aggregators can be rather invaluable.

Relatively new traders have learned that veterans of capital markets consider information such as option activity, insider and company filings, technical levels, isolated social media posts, and relevant desk chatter as crucial to the short term and long term trading environment.  We encourage our readers to look for direct and indirect information that points to analyst commentary and important data points.

Future articles will continue to provide instances of option activity and how they relate to merger and acquisition events and desk chatter, insider and company filings and their impact on analyst ratings and notes of call, and social media based news and proper coordination of price action and volatility.
