Today is Friday. It’s been a long and tiring week. Between my phone taking a hiatus, my seemingly growing workload, and the markets moving back toward the bears, I must say that my energy levels are down just a bit. Even in this subdued state, my mind still captures moments that inspire thought, which, in a twisted way, keeps me from letting it all just float off somewhere into the ether. Anyway, the one thing that has inspired more thought than any other is the movement of the markets …

  • Is this a shallow or deep correction?
  • Will the uncertainty in the markets abate as the year moves forward, and will the resolution of uncertainty put the momentum back with the bulls, or will the bears reign?.
  • Where does our economy go from here?
  • Can we revive our depleted manufacturing sector, and, if we can, what will it look like?
  • What will we export?

These are some of the salient thoughts I have had this week. Is anyone else out there wondering about these things? Is anyone concerned, as I am, that the road back might be long at best, and impossible at worst?

I understand the answers to these questions are unknown, but reasonable, thinking people formulate thought, and that is what I seek today. I want to tap the brain power and deep knowledge out there in the lands far beyond my own. I have my own thoughts and ideas, but this tiring week has sapped my clarity.

Can you folks help me get some clarity again?
