After exiting a position, when the same criteria arise (in my case, a breakout level is re-acheived), the rule is to re-enter.

When the previous exit was a winner, this somehow feels riskier than the original entry. When the previous exit was a loser, this feels pointless.

My last exit was a mild winner, which made the task a little easier. In any case, I re-entered the Silver and Gold trades this morning, with one modification: I’m not in the wrong gold contract this time. The positions did okay and ended the day ahead.

Now in the after hours they’re adding to their gains, which, believe it or not, I find a bit irritating. Why? a) the pit will probably take all these gains back tomorrow morning, and b) I’ll spend a lot of mental energy in the meantime wondering if I should take the profit on the table right now.
