Here’s one of your more traditional “Buffett-like” stock screens where I am essentially looking for companies selling well below their book value. Despite the rash of selling we’ve been seeing lately in the markets, these stocks have done a pretty good job of holding their own and the charts on these stocks aren’t all that bad either. I have expanded the parameters of the book value from half book value to three-quarters book value (the value of the company per share, if they were to liquidate all of their assets), since a lot of stocks had to be ruled out due to the very bearish charts they had. Those stocks listed below, represent what I feel are the best of the discounted stocks.

One stock worth highlighting is Nippon Telegraph & Telephone (NTT) which was also on my Defensive stock list. I always like seeing stocks on multiple bullish or multiple bearish screens, because it typically signifies a lot of potential value to be had in a trade.
