A slight dollar boost (UUP +0.6%) left the Materials (XLB -0.9%), Commodities (DBC -0.0%) and International indices (EFA -0.4%) down slightly. However, the persistently trending metals complex took a harder hit, with the DBP down -3.3%. The major U.S. indices were nevertheless able to record a third consecutive weekly advance, leaving the S&P 500 (SPY) higher by +0.6%.
