Pending Home Sales increased 4.3% to 82.3, against expectations of a 2.9% increase. The Pending Home Sales Index had increased 5.2% in July to an index value of 79.4, following a 2.6% increase in June. The index was 19.1% lower than July 2009, when it was at 98.1.
