One of the fun things I do is look at how my various exit and entry signals performed each day. I’ve mentioned before that the PDQ is almost too good in predicting momentum reversals and that it tends to be psychic a day or 2 in advance of the actual turn. Such was the case yesterday when I closed the Long trade in TLT and left a few bucks on the table (.55%). The Situations chart (above) which was used to trigger the entry shows the exit was premature although today is the 6th day in the trade and based strictly on the MRSI time stop it’s time to close the position. My exit netted a .35% gain, hanging in there for another day (today) would have pumped that return to .8%. Lesson learned.
