Amarok Resources, Inc. (OTC:AMOK) is an exploratory stage company which traded for about $1.4 per share a year ago.
On Friday, AMOK closed at $0.15 after a 130.77% surge. Keeping in mind the average volume for AMOK is approximately 87 thousand shares, Friday’s 1 million seems astounding.
As for the reason for that market performance, it is very hard to find any.[BANNER]
The fact is AMOK hasn’t provided any news since Oct. 27, 2011 when the company announced the completion of a survey of a property owned by AMOK. The announcement didn’t really affect the market.
Additionally, the company hasn’t filed anything with the SEC since it’s quarterly report for the three months ended July 31, 2011. The report itself didn’t provide anything which could have a positive effect on the market performance of AMOK.
Last week’s gains are something of a mystery, and the company hasn’t commented on what is happening, so it’s anybody’s guess what the reason for the surge is.
