Three emails, two promoters, $30 thousand compensation. In a nutshell, this is what has determined the market performance of Viral Genetics, Inc. (PINK:VRAL) for the last two days.
To begin with, the first promotional email reached our promotional database prior to the session on Dec. 6, while the other two arrived a couple of hours before yesterday’s trading session. Although the name of the third party has remained undisclosed, the fact that the text of each email is an exact match to the other two suggests that the third party standing behind them is one and the same.
Now, the results. VRAL closed trade on Dec. 6 at $0.025 without changing a wit in comparison with the day before. A total of 2.08 million shares of common VRAL stock changed hands. What happened yesterday, though, was quite different. While VRAL only shifted 1.35 million shares, its value appreciated by a staggering 20% to $0.03 per share.
The last but one promotion in support of VRAL stock was launched on Nov. 21 and it allowed for a positive chart run for three sessions in a row. What is more, an aggregate of 23.5 million shares changed hands back then. Therefore, VRAL’s current positive run might have the potential to continue today. However, investors should take the unpredictable nature of paid promotions into account when deciding where to invest their money.
