BORNEO RESOURCE INVST (PINK:BRNE) registered 11 thousand traded shares on Thursday, which was several times higher than the daily average.
The volume surge was accompanied by a 22% increase in the share price. On Friday, BRNE finished the session with another impressive price jump of 36%. What was most impressive though was the volume on which the stock appreciation was achieved – a whole 100 shares.
Thus, even with a naked eye one can perceive the highly speculative nature of BRNE stock. Even more so when the price surge happened without any published announcements or reports.
In this regard, it is not surprising to see that the company bears a red stop sign on the OTC markets, symbolizing its limited information nature.
OTC Markets warn that such sort of companies are facing reporting problems, economic distress, or bankruptcy. Needless to say there is also lack of any official SEC filings.
In this regard, BRNE may be too risky a venue for common stock investors.
