S&P 500 Re-Cap 10-19-2011

The S&P 500 opened at 1218.25, 4.75 points below Tuesday’s settlement at 1223.00. The S&P traded up to 1225.25 before encountering resistance and moving back down to 1219.00 a 6.25 pullback. Buyers responded auctioning price back up to test the high. Price went to 1224.75 resistance held and seller’s again responded bringing price to the 1217.50 level, another 7.25 point pullback.

Buyers responded and bought price back up to the 1223.00 price level. Seller’s stepped in again and sold price down to the low at 1215.25. Support held and responsive buying brought price back to 1218.50. After a 3.25 point response initiated selling came in and sold price to 1205.25.

Buyers auctioned price back up to 1211.50 a 5 point response, before sellers again sold price down to 1201.50 today’s low. Buyers stepped in and bought price up to 1208.50 before closing at 1207.00
