While the late week snap-back moderated oversold equity conditions, the VIX is still quite elevated above it’s intermediate-term average, indicating further upside potential.  Of course we remain in a highly news driven environment, and the short-term trend remains down.  Meanwhile; however, the Commodities (DBC) group and Energy (XLE) complex continue to lead the markets from a relative strength perspective.
