Do investors in Spring Creek Capital Corp (OTC:SCRK) really have such a short memory? Probably not, yet promoters keep on bombarding their mailboxes with breaking news, which are not so breaking anymore. If investors are looking for news and facts, here is one – after the promotional wave in February, the stock price crashed to almost half the levels before the promotion. 
Back to today. As mentioned, paid promotions and alerts hit the mailboxes yesterday and today. Third party pays for them, not as much money as for the last promotional campaign, but there could still be intense trading activity. As for an increase in the price, it is uncertain what the promotions could achieve. The last two sets led to skyrocketing volumes and a decline in the price the very first day after they reached investors.Â
Besides this pattern of promoting old news as breaking one, followed by a share price decline, there are a few other facts that potential investors should also be aware of when considering this company. One of them is that two members of the board resigned in the last few months. Since inception Spring Creek has not generated any revenues and as most development stage companies it has little cash at hand, but mounting liabilities and millions of accumulated deficit.
SCRK is a healthcare company operating through subsidiaries, with products and services to offer, but the words most commonly seen in its announcements and financial statements up-to-date are “planned”, ” intend”, “will be” – all in all, hopes and intentions for the future. Nevertheless, there is good news as well. In the beginning of the month, an announcement came out that a subsidiary of the company is developing a new product, which is FDA approved. The product is said to be available in ninety days, so there is a possibility to finally improve the balance sheet. Once the SEC filings improve, the stock performance might also do so.
Until this happens, however, uncertainty and speculations would probably prevail on the stock market. New promotions with old news, although sometimes useful for short jumps in the price, often end up with sharp declines and are no real solution to the obstacles the company has to cope with in order to be successful and profitable.
