Forex Pros – U.S. stocks were down after the closing bell on Friday.
At the close of U.S. trade, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.72%, the S&P 500 index shed 0.74%, while the Nasdaq 100 index declined 0.50%.
Earlier in the day, official data showed that U.S. non-farm payrolls rose more-than-expected to a seasonally adjusted 192.00K last month, from 63.00K in the preceding month whose figure was revised up from 36.00K.
Analysts had expected U.S. non-farm payrolls to rise 180.00K last month.
Meanwhile, across the Atlantic, European stock markets closed lower. France’s CAC 40 was down 1.00%; Germany’s DAX shed 0.65%; Britain’s FTSE 100 declined 0.24%; and the EURO STOXX 50 fell 0.68%.
