Silver has been a stellar performer today trading higher by 3.00 percent today. In electronic trading silver for April delivery is trading around $35.50 a troy ounce. The popular iShares Silver Trust(NYSE:SLV) is trading higher by $1.28 a share which is a near 4.00 percent increase. Silver is extended on the daily charts, however, that does not mean it cannot trade higher. The next intra-day resistance level for the SLV is $35.00.
Many of the leading silver stocks are also surging higher this afternoon. Silver Wheaton Corp.(NYSE:SLW) is trading higher this afternoon by $1.25 to a new 52 week high at $44.97 a share. SLW stock has some short term intra-day support around the $45.00 level.
