PWLK_chart.png100% surge in one month – quite an impressive ride for a ‘dark’ pink sheets stock like that of Powerlock Intl Corp (PINK:PWLK). The sudden intensification in the trading of PWLK stock could have easily been attributed to promotional campaigns. So far, however, only one single alert has come up and it has put PWLK on today’s watch list.

The non-paid advertising campaign follows the last session that took place yesterday. From the company’s perspective, it can be considered a lousy one as the price of PWLK stock was hardly a subject of any significant fluctuations. It maintained its Tuesday level of $0.0008 per share. The turnover was also affected as only 2.8 million shares changed hands, or 9 times fewer than the volume traded on the previous day.

Powerlock International Corp. claims to have developed and launched a vehicle anti-theft product named after the very company. The Power Lock appears to have been patented both in the United States and internationally and is considered to be a technological innovation as it is able to prevent thieves from hot-wiring a vehicle and drive away.

As it is, this company actually has a final product at hand. Judging from its description, it is bound to be commercially viable. Yet, to date the company has not filed any financial reports whatsoever. Investors barely seem able to even make an educated guess about what their money is used for. What is more, if the product is as  promising as it seems, then what has kept PWLK management from contacting all the Detroit car manufacturers and discuss the prospect of the implementation of the anti-theft device into newly manufactured vehicles. On the other hand, PWLK management might actually be working hard to strike a strategic agreement. Moreover, it might as well have already started drawing up a current financial statement to shed light on the company’s current finances. At the end of the day, coming up with a lot of forward-looking statements, as many pink sheets tend to do, is hardly the most successful approach either.

PWLK_logo.gifThis positive hypothesis, however, might end up being too good to be true. Until the company gets rid of the ‘STOP’ sign of OTC markets, it will most probably be presumed guilty rather than innocent.
