CEYY-27.01.11.pngThis week, it is marketing time for the alcohol treatment and rehabilitation company Fresh Start Private (OTC:CEYY). Contracts for television commercials are signed to be aired on CNBC, CNN, FOX, MSNBC etc.

The CEO of the company is appearing on MoneyTV today for an interview. As a spokesman of the company puts it, Fresh Start is going for an aggressive, eye-level marketing which should lead to sales via partnerships or direct interested parties. Another announcement also came out last Friday, stating that the company signed a contract with Merit Management Services, LLC (Merit) to open up to five treatment and rehabilitation centers over the next 12 months.

Yet, none of the above had much of an effect on the market. Low volumes and a slight decrease or increase of the price is what has been going on for a week now. Yesterday closed at $0.28, which is twice more than in the beginning of the year, nevertheless, no way near the December levels of $0.80 when the stock crashed down painfully in a single day. 3logo-CEYY.jpgOn the other hand, this low activity on the market is soon to change. After the CEO interview is over today, investors would most probably step in for another short run. There is an objective reason why this interview should have the mentioned impact. Until last year, the company operated under a different name. What is more, it had a different main line of business – developing green, renewable fuel sources. These activities never commenced, but it was still a sharp turn from biomass products to alcoholics who needed help. It was also a sharp drop in investor confidence, thus a disastrous free fall for the stock price.
Having this in mind, the interview today should reveal some important points about the new venture. One of them is the corporate strategy for months to come, like the five new centers that should open in 2011. So far, little has been shared with the common public, which is why the public did not really appreciate the value of an investment in Fresh Start Private. Now, there is a vast difference between telling something and actually doing it, as the history of this company proves, yet, it is high time for a clear picture to be revealed, which might at least be of benefit to short-term investors.
