Activecare, Inc. (OTC:ACAR) is engaged in the care for the elderly, disabled or chronically ill. The company hasn’t been financially successful so far, but it has had its share of promotions, and there is a new one for today.
Yesterday, ACAR announced the appointment of David S. Boone as CEO of the company. The announcement didn’t seem to do much for the market performance of ACAR stock.[BANNER]
ACAR closed 22.5% up at $0.49, however, the volume wasn’t impressive – 9,100 shares. On top of that, the closing price was only reached by one transaction at the end of the session. Throughout the day, there were very few other transactions and they were at $0.40.
It is possible that a lot of people didn’t see the announcement or the related 8-K form, but that basically means very few people are following the company.
Today, ACAR will have the benefit of being promoted. A promotional newsletter discloses $15 thousand as compensation for its services.
Mr. Boone, the new CEO of ACAR, used to be the CEO of American CareSource Holdings where he did well for the company and increased its revenues and market capitalization.
We will have to wait and see what the promotion does for ACAR today, and what Mr. Boone may contribute as CEO on the long run.
