Acxiom Corporation (ACXM) recently entered into an agreement with Clearwave Corporation, a premier network provider in Patient Information Exchange to power Clearwave’s new Patient Recognition for healthcare providers.

Clearwave’s Patient Recognition solution manages, updates and cleans data across systems and providers by identifying duplicate patient records and sustaining patient data quality in real-time or in on-demand mode.

Acxiom will provide its patented AbiliTec help in identifying consumers across time, name changes and relocations. The company will also provide Acxiom’s Recognition Manager, and thus help incorporate the modifications constantly in contact data.

Along with providing accurate patient recognition, the company’s solutions will also enhance and protect patient privacy.

Earlier, the company had entered into a key strategic and global marketing partnership with Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Established in October 2001, Sony Ericsson is a joint venture between Sony (SNE) and Ericsson (ERIC). It helps consumers by providing innovative and feature rich phones, accessories, content and applications.

As per the terms of the deal, Acxiom will further strengthen Sony Ericsson’s engagement with its consumers. The company will outsource support to Sony Ericsson and deliver consumer communications campaigns by providing business culture change, marketing strategy, data cleansing and enhancement, implementation services and marketing operations.

Acxiom is well positioned to help information-intensive companies by optimizing their IT infrastructures, reducing costs and transforming information into meaningful gains to project future prospects.

Headquartered in Little Rock, Arkansas, Acxiom integrates data, services and technology to create and deliver customer and information management solutions for client companies. Acxiom has locations throughout the United States and Europe, as well as in Australia and China.
