Jobless Claims fell for the third week in a row, dropping by -4,000 to 364,000, easily beating expectations which forecast new claims would rise to 380,000.
The consistent drop in new claims, and the fact that we’re once again below the 400K mark on both new claims and the 4-week average (-8,000 to 380,250), underscores the real improvement we’re seeing in the jobs market.
Today’s numbers are the best we’ve seen in over three years.
