Personal Income increased 0.2%, by $30.0 billion in July, to $12,512.2 billion seasonally adjusted at annual rates, lower than the expected 0.3% increase, after remaining virtually unchanged in June. Net of taxes Disposable Personal Income increased 0.2%, by $17.6 billion, to $ 11,364 billion, after remaining virtually unchanged in June. Personal Consumption Expenditures increased by $44.1 billion, or 0.4%, higher than the expected 0.3% increase, after remaining virtually unchanged in June. With the rate of spending higher than the rate of income growth, the Personal Savings Rate decreased to 5.9% of disposable income, after increasing to 6.2% in June, originally reported at 6.4%.
