The “Chart of the Day” is JA Solar (JASO), which showed up on Wednesday’s list of stocks that had a new “Buy” signal from the Barchart “Trendspotter(tm)” trading system. JASO on Wednesday rallied sharply by 11.73% and gapped up to a new 2-year high. JASO management provided positive comments at an analyst day on Tuesday in Valencia, Spain at the site of the European PVSEC Expo. JASO on Wednesday then announced agreements for the sale of 500 MW of solar cells for 2011 delivery, thus filling up its pipeline for 2011. JA Solar, with a market cap of $1.0 billion, is a major China-based solar cell manufacturer.
