Mosaic on Monday closed up 5.53%, resuming last week’s rally and posting a new 4-1/2 month high. Mosaic has rallied sharply in the past 1-1/2 months on a combination of strong crop prices (which ensures heavy crop planting and higher fertilizer use) and the recent hostile bid for competitor Potash by BHP Billiton, which puts Mosaic into M&A play somewhat as well. Trendspotter(tm) has been long Mosaic since July 20 at $46.50, with a profit thus far of $13.27 per share or 28%. Mosaic, with a market cap of $25 billion, is one of the world’s leading producers of phosphates, potash, nitrogen fertilizers and feed ingredients for the agriculture industry.

The Top 100 Stocks ranks stocks by a combination of their overall opinion, signal strength and signal direction to come up with a list of the top 100 stocks by opinion.
