The “Chart of the Day” is Salesforce.com (CRM), which showed up on Friday’s list of stocks that had a new “Buy” signal from the Barchart “Trendspotter(tm)” trading system. The stock also showed up on Barchart’s “Gap Up” list. Salesforce.com on Friday rallied sharply by 16.95% and posted a new record high. The stock rallied on news late Thursday of positive earnings and higher earnings guidance, along with heavy technical buying on the upside breakout. Roth Capital last Friday reiterated its Hold rating on the stock but raised the price target to $100 from $75. Salesforce.com, with a market cap of $12.4 billion, provides a web-based suite of customer relationship manager (CRM) applications that allow customers to manage and share all of their sales, support, marketing and partner information on-demand.
