With a big snow storm set to hit New York tomorrow, it seems as though all the human traders standing on Wall Street will stay home. That means one thing: computers will only have each other to fight with in this zero-sum quest for profits.
In honor of this epic computer battle set to unfold tomorrow, here is a compilation of the “Best of Battlebots.” For those who don’t remember the show from its Comedy Central run, it was a competition in which “competitors, being remote-controlled, armored, and weaponed machines, …been designed and built and put together in an arena to fight in an elimination tournament. The purpose of the fight is for one robot, or “bot”, to dominate or disable the other.”
