Apparently, the bio-based material produced by BioSolar can dissipate heat faster than standard petroleum based backsheets, used in most modern photovoltaic cells. Quick disposition of heat creates 70% increase in conductivity. Such results were provided by the undisclosed independent authority that did the testing.
These finding were surprising for the company itself, as it could holds a pretty impressive leverage against its opponents in the market. The development stage company is currently partnering with PV cell manufacturers to get their backsheets used in their production.[BANNER]
Moving away from the need to produce whole photovoltaic cells can save a lot in expenses, which favors the cash lacking BSRC. The company has already started commercial production and is already filling orders according to the announcements made in May.
Trading under $1, the stock price is refusing to go higher upfront, as the company has no proven sales record, revenues may not cover expenses, cash position is low and manufacturing will take more than the usual quarterly amounts.
Upcoming quarterly report will only show revenues that poured in through half a quarter, which is not a very good indicator to make an investing decision, but at least some guidance will be given. The company stays silent about the size of orders.
