Forexpros – The number of building permits issued in Canada rose more-than-expected last month, official data showed on Friday.
In a report, Statistics Canada said that Canadian building permits rose to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 7.4%, from -4.4% in the preceding month whose figure was revised up from -5.2%.
Analysts had expected Canadian building permits to rise to 1.0% last month.
