• Barrick Gold Corporation (NYSE:ABX) was reported to have agreed to acquire Equinox Minerals for $7.68 billion in cash

• Shares of International Game Technology (NYSE:IGT) were up 9.31% in after-hours trading due to a year-over-year earnings growth of 21.1% in the second quarter of 2011. Earnings per share (EPS) in the second quarter of 2011 surpassed the Zacks Consensus Estimate of 20 cents by three cents
