• Patterson (NASDAQ:PDCO) posted fiscal first quarter earnings a penny above estimates at 45 cents per share, on revenues of $850 million that fell shy of Zacks estimates of $855 million

• Keybanc upgraded Brush Engineered Material (NYSE:BW) to “buy” from “hold,” with a price target of $30

• Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MS) initiated coverage of Cree (NASDAQ:CREE) with an “overweight” rating and a price target of $75

• UBS (NYSE:UBS) downgraded Medtronic (NYSE:MDT) from “buy” to “neutral,” and lowered the price target from $53 to $33
