• The Federal Communications Commission gave Globalstar Inc (NASDAQ:GSAT) permission to operate second-generation satellites in the U.S

• Dawson Geophysical Co. (NASDAQ:DWSN) said it would acquire TGC Industries Inc (NASDAQ:TGE), a provider of seismic data to energy producers, for about $157 million in stock

• Raymond James & Associates downgraded wireless infrastructure operator Crown Castle International Corp (NYSE:CCI) to “Outperform” from “Strong Buy” rating
