Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (JEC) recently won a technical and project management services contract from Jubail Chemical Industrial Company Ltd. (JANA), a wholly owned subsidiary of chemicals and petrochemicals sector operator, NAMA Chemicals.
The financial details of the contract were not disclosed. Under the terms of the contract, Jacobs will assist JANA’s existing epichlorohydrin plant expansion and new epichlorohydrin plant at Jubail, a site in Saudi Arabia.
Jacobs technical and project management services include inside battery limits, which will boost the existing plant’s capacity. Outside battery limits services will cover all utilities and the tankage area. Further, these services will lead to an increase in the capacity of epoxy resins production to 240 ktpa at the Jubail site.
In addition, Jacobs will assist the new plant by estimating cost and providing project management services.
Jacobs also received a contract to support the Program Manager Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (PM-MRAP) Vehicle program for United States Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command in Warren, Mich.
The tenure of the contract is three years, with an estimated value of $63 million.
The PM-MRAP Vehicle program rapidly fields highly survivable, mobile, multi-mission vehicles to the Joint Force to meet urgent operational requirements.
According to the contract, Jacobs will provide program management, logistics, engineering, quality, administration, Department of the Army Systems Coordination and training development, both outside and within the continental United States.
