With both planting and cooling season around the corner in the US, the agriculture & energy sectors should take a quick look at last year’s (2010) NWS JJA temperature forecast, followed by the pattern that materialized.
This is not meant to single out the Weather Service, but just as we have highlighted the benefits of utilizing more than one forecast with regards to the Indian Monsoon, it pays to view a sample of forecasts and seasonal outlooks before taking action.
