Hawk’s Scan Sentry Report for Monday April 4
Welcome to Hawk’s Scan Sentry Report. This is Sunday night with picks for early this week. But first, here’s something to think about.
One of the reasons so many people do not make money trading the markets is because the mindset required to do so is often counter-intuitive to the mental habits we have developed to get this far in life. Today I want to discuss ‘Hope’. In our emotional and spiritual lives ‘hope’ is an essential element in the ongoing struggle against despair and cynicism. It is often the fuel behind a healthy curiosity and a reasonable ambition. It is a part of what makes children so beautiful, they are our hope for the future. Hope even played an enormous role in the election of our current national president. But trader beware…for there is no hope to be had in the financial markets. Your market positions are not your children! The entry to every trade should be prefaced with  Dante’s famed inscription over the gates of Hades, “Forsake Hope All Ye Who Enter Hereâ€; for when you find that your trading decisions are driven by, or even influenced by, hope… well, that’s when you know that you need a more specific trading plan.
So, prefaced by my own declaration that I have no hope invested in these stock picks but, given the appropriate entry conditions, I will have money invested in some; here are my offerings for entry possibilities early this week.
I have come by them by performing scans using the TradeStation Scanner tool configured with the Arps TTB Pullback23 and other filters, and then sorting the results on the RadarScreen with the Scan Sentry Toolkit applied. So, through the laborious efforts of technical analysis made so much easier by the Arps Scan Sentry tools, I have come up with several ideas to look at for entry possibilities for short term swing trade positions.
Here are the picks…
