There is no such thing as a sure fire bet in the markets. And all traders know that fundamentals are not a leading indicator.

All said and done the issue of who wins next week is neither here nor there for the longer term direction of the markets.

Facts are that pension funds need to be invested and money sidelined does not earn anything. From these basic facts you can draw your own conclusions.

A reaction to the election outcome is likely, as it is a good short term money making opportunity. Don’t’ be fooled into thinking that it is the tie breaker for a new market move though.

Human brains like drama. They have been trained, or should I say “programmed” to react to every tiny stimulation, usually out of fear.

Fear of losing out on a potential move, or fear to be unable to protect  one’s position (s) in the event of unexpected news.

Don’t be fooled into thinking that there are not people out there who have developed programs who will use this knowledge and profit handsomely from it, usually at the retailers’ accounts.

My advice to all but the most well versed traders is to remain side lined for the next few days.

Let the unpredictability run its course and wait for the dust to settle.

There are always opportunities. The ones around big events are extremely high risk in a market that is already reflecting general uncertainty.

We are living in interesting times indeed. The election is a major event through which we can gauge the general state of affairs in the financial world and the world at large, provided we are the observer and emotionally unattached.

Keep your powder dry, focus on opportunity, and above all else do not allow yourself to be pulled into the general hype the media will make you believe is the only game in town. It is not, and unless you are prepared to look deeper you will always remain an unwitting pawn in a game that is played right under your nose without your knowing.

Please place link here  look deeper, second but last line.
