Next week, hundreds of companies will come to Wall Street with their quarterly profit report cards in hand. Miss earnings and provide sour guidance and the street treats you like a Catholic nun in the old school movies; they pull out the whipping stick and crack the stockholders across the knuckles – ouch!
For those companies that put a number on the board higher than the analysts’ consensus estimate – with muscular guidance – and it’s like money to a bank robber. Take the profits and run.
If you only had George McFly’s newspaper to know which stocks would be on the receiving end of a beat-down, and those that will have traders beating the door down to buy it.
Using a secret formula that ranks companies’ earnings power on a scale of 0-11 (0 worst – 11 best), we try to read into the future to see which companies have what it takes to top Wall Street’s expectations.
These are the top rated EPS Power stocks for the week of November 7 through November 11.

According to our research, of this group, Neenah Paper, Inc. (NP) has the most consistent history of rewarding investors with solid performance following their earnings’ reports. Neenah will announce 3rd quarter earnings after the market close on Tuesday, November 8th. It is believed they will earn 35 cents for the quarter, but don’t be surprised if they top 40 cents.
Looking at NP’s chart, should investors hit the buy button Wednesday morning, there is as much as 15% upside for the stock price; which is in line with previous post earnings’ performance.
