After the Wednesday hype, Elephant Talk Communications Inc.(OTC:ETAK) stock slowed the pace on the stock market. The trading volume for the day went down as the stock price remained in its position around $2.6 per share. Yet to see what the last day of the week could offer.
In terms, shorters were also not as busy with ETAK as they were on Wednesday when the total trading volume was 400k, out of which 159k shares were a result of short-trading activity. So, as mentioned, the session closed at $2.6 this Thursday. In general, not exactly inspiring given that just a few months ago the stock traded just below $4 per share. Whether a reverse of the negative trend on the stock market is possible is a question yet to find its answer.
One possible way for the above to happen is for better balance sheets to be released. The third quarter is already over, so another 10-Q should be expected in the next several weeks. What the data in it would be is another matter entirely. For example, the last 10-Q for the second quarter included the following:
- $4.6 million in cash; [BANNER]
- $51.2 million in total assets;
- $14.1 in total liabilities;
- $166.2 million in accumulated deficit;
- $7.8 million in revenues;
- $6.7 million in net loss;
Not exactly inspiring. Especially, as far as the net loss is concerned. Better than the one for the same period in 2010 (14.3 million), but still far away from positive. In terms, uncertainty is still part of the picture on the stock market. While there are possibilities for profits, there is still also a level of risk to be considered.
