Steep losses were recorded in the commodities complex last week, leaving DBC down -10.3%.  While you could see that train wreck in the making with ATR widening late in the prior week, the ultimate move came especially fast and furious.  Euro-zone trouble didn’t help, giving the US Dollar a relative boost for a one-two punch to commodities and foreign equities alike.  While equities once again have “technical” room to move to the upside after the recent multi-day decline, I have to ask myself how many successive “V” recoveries we can realistically expect.
