Earlier today, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that the February non-farms payroll data showed 227,000 new jobs were created in the period. Forecasters had called for an increase of 210,000 new jobs and January’s NFP numbers were revised up to 284,000 new jobs from 243,000 while December’s were revised upward to 223,000 from 203,000.
