Yesterday was slightly positive for Fuqi International Inc.(PINK:FUQI), if less than 1% increase in the stock price could be qualified as positive. On a greater scale, however, there is the serious decline which led to this all-time low recently.
Last Thursday, the bottom was reached – $2.16 per share. This Thursday, it was just another regular session for FUQI. Not much trading activity, not much of a change in the stock price, a session closing at $2.22 per share. It is interesting to mention, however, that out of the 52k shares exchanging hands for the day, 31k are due to short-trading activity. A fact, that should also not go overlooked.
In the meantime, there has been nothing coming out from Fuqi recently – no press releases, no announcements, neither SEC filings. What is more interesting, the last balance sheet to come out covers a period with an end-date Sept 30th. But not this year, it covers a period in 2009. Ever since then, there has been nothing except for 8-Ks and notifications of late filing.[BANNER]
In terms, the above is just on more piece that adds to the general uncertainty on the stock market. There is much risk involved, which not all investors might be comfortable with.
