US stock futures point to a higher open Friday after the Group of Seven decided to take action to stop the surge of the Japanese Yen currency. The market continues to be driven by news, or the lackthereof, regarding the nuclear power plant at Fukushima Daiichi. Overnight there were no additional troubling headlines regarding the on-going crisis, allowing the market to relieve some pressure.
In terms of sectors perking up this morning, agricultural stocks are set to open sharply higher after holding up well over the last few days in a weak tape. Apple Inc. (AAPL) is up nicely as well providing some leadership to the market after some bearish action of late. You can look around and find a lot of stocks opening higher this morning, the question is whether we can continue higher during the session.
