General Dynamics Information Technology, a business unit of General Dynamics (GD), has been awarded a five-year, $21.8 million contract to provide support to the new U.S. Navy Air and Missile Defense Command (NAMDC) at Naval Support Facility Dahlgren in Dahlgren, Virginia.
Under the contract, General Dynamics will provide its expertise to support fleet unit readiness assessments, training, resource and requirements planning, systems engineering and science and technology experimentation.
General Dynamics has supported NAMDC since early 2009 when the command was established as the Navy’s lead organization for Naval Joint and Combined Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) matters.
