Forexpros – Gold futures were higher during the U.S. session on Thursday.

On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Gold futures for June delivery traded at USD1573.15 a troy ounce at time of writing rising 2.38%.

It earlier traded at a session high USD1579.55 a troy ounce. Gold was likely to find support at USD1526.95 and resistance at USD1585.65.

US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.02% to trade at USD81.66.

Elsewhere on the Comex, Silver for July delivery rose 2.90% to trade at USD27.985 a troy ounce while Copper for July delivery fell 0.55% to trade at USD3.459 a pound.Forexpros
